Bee Pollen

The pollen grains which are produced at the anthers of flowers is collected by honey bees and brought into their hive to feed the growing larvae. The pollen when it is brought into their hive by honey bees, is collected for commercial prodction. It is being the higher source of proteins, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, enzymes, hormones etc which are highly vital from the growth and development point of view, the demand for this as human food is increasing every where in the world. As the colour, taste, flavors and nutritive as well as medicinal values of pollen varies according to the species of flora, Gorkha Bee is producing pollen of different qualities since last 5 years. Therefore, daily use of about 2 to 3 tea spoonful of such pollen ensures better growth and development of the body cells and tissues and brings juvenility, develops immunity to diseases and provides several vital medicinal benefits. Availability of highly diversified herbal bee flora in Nepal provides greater potential for the production of high quaity pollen. It is the best source of protein for vegetarians. Some people may have allergy to pollen. However, the probability of this allergy to pollen is about one in one thousand.
